The function of the Board of Elections is to handle all matters pertaining to elections which includes the registration of voters, filing petitions for political office and party positions, financial statements, cancellations, processing of new party enrollments, changes and transfers of enrollments, and absentee ballots. The Board maintains inactive voters lists, sends transfers and confirmation notices. Also provided are instructional meetings for inspectors, annual training classes and testing of inspectors. The Board sets up the ballot for voting machines, orders and packs all supplies needed for all polling places and supplies lists for school, village, library and fire district elections.
